| Summary: | Traçar um balanço do movimento ecumênico, por meio de uma avaliação e da identificação de perspectivas, dada a diversidade que o marca, é tarefa de difícil empreitada. Este artigo busca responder ao objetivo de abordar esta avaliação e as perspectivas dela decorrentes, por meio da narrativa da memória do movimento ecumênico no plano mundial e no Brasil, identificando os sucessos, as tensões, as crises e as superações, registrando nomes, episódios e situações emblemáticas. Entende-se aqui que recorrer à memória não é se deter no passado mas, a partir dele, lançar um olhar sobre o presente e para o futuro. Bibliografia especializada e depoimentos de quem viveu e vive o processo de construção do movimento ecumênico no Brasil são as referências fundamentais para o estudo aqui apresentado. To make a balance of the ecumenical movement, through an evaluation and identification of perspectives, given the diversity that is one of its strong characteristics, is particularly difficult endeavor. This article attempts to answer the purpose of addressing this evaluation and the prospects arising from it, through the narrative of the memory of the ecumenical movement globally and in Brazil, identifying the successes, tensions, crises and overruns, recording names, episodes, and emblematic situations. It is understood here that resorting to memory is not dwelling on the past, but, it’s from there, taking a look at the present and the future. Literature and testimony from those who lived and live the process of building the ecumenical movement in Brazil are the main references for the study presented here. |
