| Summary: | A teologia das religiões tem alcançado um desenvolvimento significativo. Neste contexto, o diálogo com Paul Tillich (1886-1965) olerece contribuições substanciais como a valorização da história da religiões; a elaboração teológica que pressupõe uma revelação universal de Deus nas mais diversas experiências religiosas; e a necessidade de crítica à dimensão sacra menta lista da religião, inclusive o cristianismo. Um dos aspectos básicos para análise é a consideração de uma preocupação última e suprema em todas as religiões, advinda de uma presença espiritual do 'Santo" na vida humana. Outro aspecto é a alirmaçao de Jesus, o Cristo, como critério de salvação do ser humano, por um lado, e a impossibilidade de auto-salvação por parte deste ser humano, por outro. Theology of religions has achieved a strong development In this context. the dialogue with Paul Tillich ollers deep contributions such as the valuation of the history of religions; a theological approach based on a universal revelation of God within the dillerent religious experiences; and the need of criticism towards the sacramentalist dimension of religion, including Christianity. One of the basic aspects to be analyzed is the the idea of Ultimate Concern found in all religions, a concern which comes from a spiritual presence of the "Holy" in human Iife. The other is the affirmation of Jesus Christ as the criterion of salvation of the human being, on the one hand, and the impossiblity of self-salvation of this same human being, on the other. |
