| Summary: | In the present work, it is proposed to analyze the case of Lucía, an Argentine girl forced to give birth by caesarean, in February 2019, Province of Tucumán. From this case, the aim is to understand the processes of overlapping of various devices of conservative powers. Having as anchor a feminist and intersectional perspective, the work is carried out starting from recovering sources of virtual access graphic communication media, and presents its results through three sections: the analysis of the notion of “mother” and how it operates in a prescriptive way and disciplining about Lucía’s body. Then we examine how conservative discourses operate both from religious, institutional devices of the health system, and scientists in Lucía’s experience. Finally, it reflects on those who are in favor of Lucía’s sexual and (non) reproductive rights, disputing the meanings of motherhood and childhood, under the motto “#Girls, Not Mothers”. |
