| Summary: | The present work discusses the main components of the social imaginary of Seventh-day Adventists, with a focus on socio-historical reflections on the construction of the Adventist being centered on its missionary characteristics. It addresses the assumptions of identity, based on Biblical-Christian values, spread concomitantly through the expansion of Adventism and its establishment in missionary guidelines that involved, among other things, the expansion of its educational model. As a result, it has been observed that the construction of the social imaginary does not occur spontaneously, but through the assimilation of an infinite range of symbols that anchor in the most different meanings; And in the case of Seventh-day Adventists, from a clear intentionality on the part of those who take responsibility to become propagators of the values that make up their doctrinal foundation, once becoming an Adventist, necessarily becomes a missionary |
