| Summary: | This article aims to examine the transnationalization of four Brazilian evangelical churches in Portugal, which are: Universal Church of the Kingdon of God, Igreja universal do Reino de Deus, Baptist Brasa Church, Batista BRASA, The Light for the People, Luz Para os Povos, (International Christian Mission) and Salt of the Earth, Sal da Terra. In the first part of the article is analyzed the flows and movements that involve these churches, which allows us to suggest a typology of religious transnationalization composed by four different models. The second part deals with the dynamics and practices undertaken by these churches to overcome cultural differences and to adapt to the local Portuguese culture. |
