| Summary: | The article investigates the “itinerant-preacher”as a modality ofcareer of the Pentecostal market of preaching and testimonies. The “itinerant-preacher” gives his testimony in churches and events, narrating dramatic epi-sodes of his past in order to be included at the margins of the religious marketin expansion. When the “itinerant-preacher” narrates his past history, he pre-sents it as alifeabsolutelynaked, as purebiological materiality, thereforewithout any ethical-political qualification. Based on Agamben’s analysis aboutthe testimonies of the survivors the Nazi camps, the article investigates howthe testimony of the “itinerant-preacher” is elaborated as a symbolic exacer-bation of a “naked life”, converted into a commodity to be sold at the religi-ous market. The more “naked” is the exposition of the shattered life, the morepossibilities of selling it gets. |
