| Summary: | An interpretation of some Extracts of the Valentinian gnostic Theodotus takes into account the contribution of the Coptic documents of Nag Hammadi for a renewed reading of Valentinian soteriology. The few fragments on Adam’s figure bring about a better understanding of how the Valentinians read biblical Scriptures under Plato’s light ; these fragments deal with three traditional categories (hylics, psychics and pneumatics), about the totality of human race.
