| Summary: | In questo saggio abbiamo cercato di mostrare come il Novecento fosse destinato a far emergere un inedito senso del fare; praticato e sperimentato da alcuni artisti in particolare. Un fare volto non tanto alla produzione di un oggetto, e soprattutto di una forma, quanto piuttosto alla produzione di quello che, in quanto inizio stesso di ogni processo, dice la pura materialità. Dare un volto alla “negazione” della forma: questo, in sostanza, il reale proposito di un modo di intendere l’arte che avrebbe saputo frequentare un senso inedito della “negazione” e del “non-essere”. Facendosi portatrice di un “gesto davvero estremo”, volto a far esistere, in senso proprio, l’assolutamente inesistente. This essay is aimed at showing how the Twentieth Century was destined to highlight an original way of the artistic “doing” practiced and experimented by the artists. This way of acting was not directed to the production of an object or a form, but it was directed to the production of the pure and sheer materiality. The real purpose of this new modality of understanding Art was to shape the denial of Form thanks to an innovative meaning given to the “negation” and “not-being”. By doing this, it laid down the conditions of an extreme gesture intended to bring into existence the absolutely non-existent. |
