| Summary: | Ethics is based on reason as much as reason is based on ethics. Austrian philosopher Wittgenstein suggests that rationality is « a certain style of thinking », a concept which I embrace. Therefore, language stems for its most part from the world of feelings and has a hard time expressing anything especially a personal or universal ethics. As language is always self-expression so is ethics. Reason and feelings reflect our desires, an ontological gap that we try to fill with creation. Ethics and esthetics are its poetry, a redemption instrument against despair, an instrument directed to each human being asking « who are you? », « what are you becoming? ». I thought it fitting to share an excerpt of my doctoral thesis, which clarifies, to some extent, the ethics of the subject. L’etica si fonda sulla ragione tanto quanto la ragione sull’etica. La razionalità così come suggerita dal filosofo Wittgenstein è « un certo stile di pensiero », concetto che faccio mio. Di conseguenza, il linguaggio che, per la maggior parte, è il risultato del mondo delle sensazioni si trova in difficoltà ad esprimere qualsiasi cosa e, in particolare, un’etica personale o universale. Nella misura in cui il linguaggio è sempre espressione di sé, ciò vale anche per l’etica. La ragione e la sensazione sono il riflesso dei nostri desideri, una mancanza ontologica che la nostra creazione tende a riempire e l’etica e l’estetica ne sono la poetica, strumento di salvezza contro la disperazione, strumento che si indirizza a qualsiasi uomo si chieda « Chi sei? », « Che cosa stai divenendo? ». Mi è parso opportuno presentare in questa sede un estratto della mia tesi dottorale, che cerca di chiarire, in una certa misura, che cosa sia l’etica del soggetto. |
