He was angry with sons of his uncle since they also criticized his views, and wrote a letter to them to defend his views about stinginess in ironic way. Jâhiz placed this letter in his book, called el-Buhalâ’ (Stingiers). It was discovered that Sahi ibn Hârûn wasn’t stingy in reality after our investigation and assessments, and as many other authors he approached the stinginess in an ironic way |
