Description
Summary:In this short article for the forum on Black Catholicism, I examine Afro-creole opposition to the New Orleans Archdiocese’s plan to create a Black “national” parish. Furthermore, it illuminates how the tradition of Catholicism (not simply Protestantism) is significant to Black religious cultures.
