Summary:This article explores spiritual healing practices that are widespread in the New Age movement. It examines the different views on the origins of illness and disease as well as the sources of healing power. The healing process, the role of healers, and the possible benefits for the country as a whole are investigated. In conclusion the practices are shown to be reinterpretations of much older techniques and philosophies which are ultimately religious in nature.
