Despite his warnings, this article nevertheless proposes to read the continuation of the first three kings of Israel according to this reading grid. A breach thus opens up in the ethnic specificity defended by Dumézil, and a crucial question arises: Can an Indo-European influence on certain aspects of the Old Testament be admitted or should the Dumézilian discoveries be revoked in doubt? | ||
