| Summary: | Este estudo teve como objetivo investigar a influência da espiritualidade e da religiosidade no sentido de vida dos pacientes oncológicos. Participaram do estudo 100 enfermos com câncer, de ambos os sexos, com idade média de 53,97 anos (dp = 12,812), conscientes do diagnóstico da doença e em situação de tratamento, em um hospital específico de Campina Grande - PB. Os participantes da pesquisa responderam a um questionário biosociodemográfico e aos seguintes instrumentos: world health organization quality of life instrument - 100 (WHOQOL-100) (do-mínio VI: religião, espiritualidade e outras crenças pessoais), escala de atitudes religiosas (EAR-20) e questionário de sentido de vida (QSV). O resultado verificou que a presença de sentido pode ser predita pela espiritualidade e pelo comportamento religioso do paciente oncológico. This study aims to investigate the influence of spirituality and religiousness on the meaning in the life of oncological patients. Participated in the study 100 cancer infirm, of both sexes, with ages that varied between 21 and 81 years and the average of 53,97 years (sd = 12,812), who were aware of the diagnosis and were undergoing treatment in a hospital in Campina Grande – PB. They answered a bio-sociodemographic questionnaire and the following instruments: world health organization quality of life instrument - 100 (WHOQOL-100) (domain VI: religion, spirituality, and other personal beliefs), religious attitudes scale (RAE-20), and meaning in life questionnaire (MLQ). The result found that the presence of meaning can be predicted by the spirituality of the oncological patient and by his religious behavior. |
