| Summary: | É possível afirmar que as inúmeras maneiras em que religião e migração se cruzam nos permite examinar simultaneamente os papéis que a religião desempenha na formação de padrões e experiências migratórias e, igualmente, reconhecer a maleabilidade das tradições e práticas re-ligiosas nos processos de mobilidade. Ao centralizar a importância da religião, não pretendemos, aqui, reificar a religião, nem argumentar que a religião é a única, ou mesmo necessariamente a mais importante, fator que sustenta experiências ou respostas à migração. Partindo desse referencial, este texto visa oferecer três breves frentes de reflexão para um entendimento, ainda que parcial, sobre o debate em torno da relação entre religião e migração. Na primeira parte, discutiremos a atualidade do tema, mostrando como esse assunto está em voga e como essa relação é real e pertinente, além de definir algumas categorias necessárias para o debate. Na segunda parte, articularemos possíveis relações entre religião e migração e, ao final, ofereceremos ao leitor algumas perspectivas teóricas, articulando e pensando como categorias úteis para refletirmos acerca desse debate enquanto área de conhecimento já estabelecida. It is possible to affirm that the different ways in which religion and migration are intertwined allow us to simultaneously examine the roles that religion plays in the formation of migratory pat-terns and experiences, and, equally, to recognize the flexibility of religious traditions and practices in the mobility processes. Considering the importance of religion, I do not intend to reify religion, nor to argue that religion is the only, or even necessarily the most important, factor that sustains experiences or responses to migration. Based on this framework, this article aims to offer three brief approaches for reflection for an understanding, albeit partial, on the debate of the relation between religion and migration. In the first part, we will discuss the actuality of the topic, revealing how this topic is in vogue and how this relationship is real and relevant, and defining some categories necessary for the debate. In the second part, I will articulate possible relations between religion and migration and, at the end, I will bring some perspectives on migration and religion relating these themes and thinking of them as useful categories for thinking this debate as an established area of knowledge. |
