Summary: | Is there a relationship between spirituality and benevolence? In other words, do those who report experiencing God's love in a deep and personal manner seek to make the world a better place as a result of this experience? This is the central question the authors address in this text., To answer this question, the authors draw from a specially designed nationally representative survey (N = 1,208), supplemented with in-depth, qualitative interviews (N = 120) with Christians who have personally experienced God's love. The authors focus on Christianity to provide some theological coherence to the study. |
