Mais nulle trace de la sépulture de Jacques n'y ayant été repérée, il faut chercher leur sépulture commune dans la chapelle byzantine construite devant le monolithe communément désigné aujourd'hui « Tombeau de Zacharie », ce que confirme la présence d'un graffito.
