Description
Summary:The paper concerns research in nineteen Christian congregations from six denominations. The objective of the study was to determine the faith content of the worshipers and to compare it with the stated theology of the denomination involved. Rank order correlations between adherents of the various denominations demonstrated the similarity between the United Methodist and Presbyterian people and the dissimilarity between Free Methodist and Roman Catholic worshipers. Three summary scales are provided: a liberal-evangelical comparison, a summary of social action interest, and a comparison of the agreement of the worshipers with their denominational confessions.
