Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:Structural determinants of religious participation were investigated among a national sample (N=2107) of black adults (The National Survey of Black Americans). Three indicators of religious participation were examined: Religious service attendance, church membership, and frequency of other religious activities. Multivariate analyses indicated that religious participation varied by gender, marital status, age, education, urbanicity, and region. The findings illustrate the degree of heterogeneity of religious participation and experience among black Americans.
