Summary: | Survey data from active laity in Disciples of Christ, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Southern Baptist, United Church of Christ, and Methodist churches were examined. Giving to one's own congregation was found to be strongly influenced by income and the religiousness of one's spouse, while giving to other religious charities was more strongly influenced by personal religiousness, and overall charitable giving was related to education and income. |
