Description
Summary:We are sorry to report that we allowed several serious errors to slip through in 48:2 (Summer, 1987) and 48:3 (Fall, 1987).First, on p. 126 of 48:2 a line is missing. In the paragraph immediately below Table 2, readers should insert the italicized material: Also as regards “rites of passage,” there is a clear cut distinction between church members and the unchurched: the recently unchurched exceptionally undertaking rites of passage (23 %).Then on pp. 226–228 of 48:3, there is an error in the column headings of Tables 3, 4, and 5. The headings over the numerical columns in each case should read as follows:Men WomenCatholic Protestant Catholic ProtestantIn addition, at the top of page 226, the “less than” sign (<) has been omitted between the “p” and the decimal following. Thus the text should read: (partial 4 =. 12, p < .1 0 )…partial 4 = .22, p <. 01)…partial r = .11, p < .05).Our apologies to the authors and to you, the reader.
