Description
Summary:While both the evangelical and charismatic movements have been the focus of scholarly analyses in recent years, virtually no attention has been given to the nature of the relationship between the two movements and whether the two movements might be united politically under one banner. This paper seeks to address this issue by comparing and contrasting the social bases and political perceptions of American evangelical and charismatic Christians. The analysis is then used as a basis for assessing the potential for growing political cohesion between the two groups over the next few years.
