| Zusammenfassung: | The notion of comprehensive security, as developed in the OSCE context, can help in securing internet and digital freedoms against the rise of digital authoritarianism. This contribution will focus on the role of the digital transition in society and its impact on freedom of religion or belief. It will also assess the contribution that the notion of “comprehensive security” can offer in the context of the digital transition. To protect human rights and, among them, the right to freedom of religion or belief, we must embed human rights within the concept of security. Doing otherwise would mean to surrender to authoritarianism. |
