Description
Summary:The aim of this article is analyze the transformation of sahrawi identity inside the process’ of civil and military occupation by Morocco and economic trades on Western Sahara natural resources. We focus on the demographic process implemented by Morocco since 1975, reducing Sahrawi people in a minority and building new economic relations. Finally, I focus on the Sahrawi protests and the changements in theri tools and leadership. The hypotesis is that these process’ could modify Sahrawi landscape and bodies, leaving Sahrawi people at a stage between “self determination” claims and requests for social, political and economic rights.
