The Study of Living Words in Zen Buddhism

Of the five Buddhist Schools, Zen seems to be one of the least understood by students of religion today. Zen's unique discipline, the meditative study of the koan (more correctly called hua-t 'oul), is, unfortunately, not clearly understood.
