Summary:Theology, irrespective of the definition or description one may be inclined to follow, develops in concrete situations which in turn, form the context of theology. Being 'contextua!' is an essential ingredient for any theology to be relevant. Hence, it seems to me, that it is not the very possibility of an Indian Christian theology that can be called into question, but rather whether it responds to the context, whether such a response is adequate and relevant, will always be questioned, discussed and even controverted.
