Description
Summary:This article intends to analyze, since the perspective of Gender and Religion Studies, the character Lord Fanny, from the comic books "The Invisibles", from Scottish writer Grant Morrison, published by DC Comics. Lord Fanny is a Brazilian transsexual woman, of Mexican descent, witch of a Aztec matrilineal tradition, member of a group of anarchist freedom fighters. She constitutes, therefore, while a mediatic element, a symbol of subversion, of gender norms, which are heteronormatives, as well as of hegemonic religious speeches, structured on the patriarchy point of view.
