Description
Summary:This paper is a hermeneutic and critical-review on the role of the Salmanticensis School in the rise of modern Economy, and for this reason should be known as the Spanish School of Economics (EEE). This a study of Political Economy and Public Finance, mixed with Economic History and Social Thought, which combines various approaches and techniques, especially the scholastic methodology, verification by contrast of sources and systematization of logical arguments with empirical support. This study first clarifies the notion of the EEE and its relationship with other economic schools. Next, the transition from moral to political and positive economics is exposed, with attention to the development of academic disciplines. All this is completed with the systematization of economic-financial principles inspired by EEE.
