Summary:The main subject of this article is Simone Weil, a French philosopher, a Christian mystic, a political activist and a critic of society, and her approach to the problem of suffering. The study presents a biography of Weil, analysis of her main ideas and concepts as well as the concept of suffering as it appears in Weil's works. It is argued in the study that Weil's approach to the problem of suffering is unique, because it provides a new perspective from which to look at suffering, trying to understand the meaning of suffering, it's role in human life and the importance in God's plan. The article suggests that suffering is the center of Weil's life and thought, so without it her ideas and theology cannot be understood. Finally, in the article Weil's approach to the problem of suffering is referred to as Simone Weil's way of suffering to God.
