| Summary: | The paper is devoted to the works by Ludvigs Ernests Adamovičs (1884-1943), the Latvian theologian and scholar. The author in his articles talks about the ancient Latvian religion. L. Adamovičs recognized the old religion as an object of academic research. So he did not approve of forming a new religion in the 20s - 30s of the 20th century, when there were attempts to find a base in the old religion of the unique, natural, Latvian religion. L.
