| Summary: | A characteristic feature of the EU's current foreign policy course is its stepping up its policy towards relations with Islamic countries, especially the Middle East and Middle East, and enhancing its role in addressing key issues in the region. To date, the region has been identified in the Council of Europe and European Commission documents as a "key foreign policy priority". Характерною ознакою сучасного зовнішньополітичного курсу Євросоюзу є значна активізація його політики у відносинах з країнами ісламського світу, насамперед Близького і Середнього Сходу, підвищення його ролі у вирішенні ключових питань цього регіону. На сьогодні зазначений регіон визначено у документах Ради Євросоюзу та Сврокомісії як "ключовий пріоритет зовнішньої політики". |
