| Summary: | The department was established in 1959 in difficult times, when in the Soviet society dominated a materialistic, atheistic outlook, and other philosophical-idealistic and religious-mystical views were persecuted. Until the 1990s, it existed under the title "The History and Theory of Atheism". Not long kept her second name - "Histories and Theories of Religion and Atheism". Finally, the permanent name "Department of Religious Studies" is legitimized, which corresponds most to the modern development of Ukrainian society, in which there is a rapid revival of the national spiritual culture. Кафедра була створена у 1959 році в складні часи, коли в радянському суспільстві панував матеріалістичний, атеїстичний світогляд, а інші філософсько-ідеалістичні та релігійно-містичні погляди переслідувалися. До 90-х років вона існувала під назвою «Історії та теорії атеїзму». Не довго трималася її друга назва - «Історії і теорії релігії і атеїзму». Нарешті узаконена постійна назва «Кафедра релігієзнавства», що найбільше відповідає сучасному розвитку українського суспільства, в якому відбувається бурхливе відродження національної духовної культури. |
