Description
Summary:The article presents Osvaldo Orlando da Costa, better known as Osvaldão, and his relationship with the Guerrilha do Araguaia based on the narratives of people of saint in the region where the conflict took place. Using Oral History was possible to find magic reports about him and his capacity of enchanting, metamorphosing, as others too. The reports heard and many others read in the literature about the subject give us indications of the protagonism of local afro-religious people and how they were inserted in the history that marks the end of Osvaldo’s life, and consequently the end of Guerrilha do Araguaia.
