| Summary: | O presente texto propõe-se a uma reflexão de natureza teórico-bibliográfica sobre a natureza e especificidade das plantas psicoativas e sua ligação com questões místico-religiosas. Apoiado em diversos autores que se debruçam sobre esse campo, o texto tem por objetivo explicitar a natureza dessas plantas evidenciando sua presença na história de diversos grupos e culturas, bem como a crença de que tais plantas e/ou substâncias potencializam experiências espirituais, induzem a beatíficos e transcendentes estados de comunhão com o divino conformando um conjunto de saberes religiosos. This paper proposes a theoretical and bibliographic reflection about the nature and specificity of psychoactive plants and their relation with mystical-religious issues. Based on several authors who have studied this theme, this text aims to explain the nature of these plants evidencing their presence in the history of many groups and cultures, and the belief that such plants and substances potentiate spiritual experiences, induce transcendent and beatific states of communion with the divine, forming a group of religious knowledge. |
