Summary:Variousmeasureshavebeenadoptedtopromotepeacefulco-existenceinAfricansocieties,Nigeriaasanexamplebuttheproblemspersist.Thispieceexplorestheroleofleadershiptraininginreligionasgermanetopeacefulco-existenceinhumanities.Humanbeingsaresociobeingsandcannotexistwithoutinteractingwithotherpeople.Thereareneedsforsocialinteractionstartingfromthesmallestunitasthefamily,community,society,peergroups,agegrades,religiousinstitutions,andplaceofworktomentionafew.Atonepointinlifeweareboundtostepontoesduetoindividualdifferences,thereforeconflictcanarisewhichneedtobesettledforpeacefulco-existence.Leadershiptraininginreligiousspherecouldgoalongwayinshapinglivesandpromotingpeacefulco-existenceamongreligiousorganizationswhichcouldeventuallyspreadtothesocietyatlarge.TheResearchadoptsdescriptivemethodsofdatacollectionwiththeuseofonehundred(100)questionnaireassampleselectedpurposivelyconductedamongselectedchurchleadersinPentecostalchurchesandmainlinechurchesusingquestionnairemethodstosourceforinformation.Analysiswillbemadeusingpercentage.Thepaperconcludesthatifleadersofthreemajorreligionscanmanifestattributesthatcanengenderunityandcohesionandiftheyshouldleadbyexamples,therewillbepeacefulco-existenceinNigeria.
