Description
Summary:The issue of being belongs to the top problems undertaken by philosophers. Since the moment of the distinguishing within being of two structural elements: being and essence, the question of their nature has been constantly present in metaphysical remarks. As opposed to other classical philosophical arguments, like for example that on universal elements, this one isn’t created on the basis of ancient philosophy. Philosophers did point out the issue of being but only where the ancient thought interacted with the Judeo-Christian concepts of creatio ex nihilo. Cosmologies founded on the basis of the message included in the Book of Genesis or the Quran assume that there was a period in which the universe did not exist and that the universe had been created into existence from nothing by God. This raises questions that the Greeks did not ask themselves, like why did God decided to create the world? Was the creation necessary or it just lay upon the will of the Absolute? What is the relation between the creation and its Maker?
