| Summary: | The presented study assesses the psychometric effectiveness of the Transgression-related Interpersonal Motivations Inventory (TRIM-12). This comprises of 12 itemised questions designed to measure two aspects of forgiveness: motivation to avoid Transgressor and motivation to revenge. Subjects were 393 from students from Poland. The TRIM-12 was found to be highly reliable when evaluated by the α-Cronbach procedure as well as having an internal consistency; exhibiting divergent validities. Factor analysis statistically confirmed the two dimensional structure of the TRIM-12. The presented outcomes thus provide further evidence that the aforementioned questionnaire is indeed psychometrically sound, and is therefore recommended for use by researchers studying the construct of forgiveness. |
