Description
Summary:The aim of this article is to present and deliver an interpretation of the concept of "a man without any features" included in the same titled novel by Robert Musil. The reading of this work is being accompanied by the reflection upon the statement that "this religious novel in the spirit of nonbelievers", as the author itself described it, might be not just the vastest worldview panorama in literature of the first decades of the 20th century, but also an important commentary on the transitions in understanding cultural legacy and the broadly understood spiritual sphere, which is a sign of crystallization of the so called new spirituality, an even in large extent anticipating main anthropological assumptions of the New Age Movement. The great intellectual potential of the novel and its essayistic style inclines us to taking the term in mentioned in the title as an anthropological category, in the sense of the classical 19th century philosophical anthropology.
