| Summary: | Religiosity seems to be an important factor for student’s life satisfaction. The aim of this study was to verify, whether Polish students differ from student from Chile in some aspects of religiosity. The additional aim is to examine potential relations between religiosity and student's life satisfaction, and hypothetical moderation role of sex in this relation. The sample consisted of 365 students from Poland and 100 students from Chile. All participants represent the Roman Catholic Church. Following tools were used: Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), Daily Spiritual Experiences Scale (DSES), Santa Clara Strength of Religious Faith Questionnaire (SCSORFQ) and one item scales measures frequency of prayer. According to the results, Polish students have higher strength of religious faith than students from Chile. This tendency was observed both, among men and women. In both group sex moderated the relation between religiosity and life satisfaction, excluding relation of strength of religion faith with life satisfaction among students from Chile. |
