| Summary: | 이 논문은 ‘논학문(論學文)’에 등장하는 단어 ‘화(化)’를 로너간(Bernard Lonergan SJ)의 상호자기매개(mutual self-mediation)의 발현으로 보고 이를 통해 수운의 상제(上帝) 경험의 해석을 목적으로 한다. 1장에서는 로너간의 ‘매개(mediation)’가 갖는 의미에 대해서 살펴보았다. 로너간에 따르면 ‘매개’는 서로 다른 세계의 관계를 밝히는 단어이다. ‘매개’는 상식(common sense)과 내면성(interiority)을 연결한다. 이를 수운의 상제(上帝) 경험의 해석 틀로 가져올 때 본래는 수운에게 의미가 없이 존재하던 상제(上帝)가 수운의 내면성과 연결됨을 의미한다. 나아가 상호자기매개는 수운이 상제와 감응(感應)하고 더 나아가 상제(上帝)의 지평으로까지 인식이 확장하는 것을 의미한다. 2장에서는 로너간의 매개와 자기매개(self mediation), 그리고 상호자기매개의 역사를 다루고 이것이 ‘논학문(論學文)’의 ‘화(化)’와 연결되는 지점을 찾고자 하였다. 이에 따라 ‘논학문(論學文)’에서 ‘화(化)’는 단순한 연결사가 아니라 상제(上帝)와 감응하고 편견으로 가득한 인간적 인식의 지평을 뛰어넘을 수 있게 하는 상호자기매개를 의미함을 밝히고자 한다. 3장에서는 ‘화(化)’가 상호자기매개로 사용된 ‘논학문(論學文)’ 9장, 12장, 13장의 용례는 상제(上帝)와 감응한 것으로 설명하고, ‘논학문(論學文)’ 13장 끝부분은 상제(上帝)의 지평에 이르는 수운의 인식 지평의 확장을 설명하였다. 그뿐 아니라 상제(上帝)에게 받은 주문(呪文)을 통하여 상호자기매개의 주체가 상제(上帝)와 수운에서 상제(上帝)와 모든 이로 확장되게 된 과정을 설명하였다. This paper is to interpret the relationship between mutual self-mediation of Bernard Lonergan SJ and ‘Hwa (化, deification)’ of ron-hak-mun and to interpret the experience of mutual self-mediation of Su-woon’s Sange-Je(上帝) experience. ‘Hwa (化)’ means the deification which brings internal transition in the human being, and this concept appears often in the ancient Confucian texts as well. In the first chapter, the paper examines the meaning of ‘the mediation’ of Lonergan, which, according to the Lonergan, is a word that reveals the relationship between different two worlds. This means that the Sange-Je(上帝) who originally existed externally without meaning to Su-woon becomes meaningfully connected with Su-woon. ‘Mediation’, furthermore, connects the common sense and the interiority. It means that mutual self-mediation brings the resonance between the Sange-Je(上帝) and Su-woon and expands Su-woon’s limited epistemological horizon to the divine horizon. In the second chapter, the paper dealt with ‘the mediation’, mutual self-mediation of Lonergan, and history of mutual self-mediation. And at the same time, this paper examined to find the docking point with ‘Hwa’ and mutual self-mediation. Accordingly, this paper intended to clarify that ‘Hwa’ in the thesis means mutual self-mediation which allows us to overcome the limited human horizon rather than simple grammatic conjunction. In the third chapter, the paper tried to explain it more specifically. The first four times, ‘Hwa’ was employed as a resonance with the Sange-Je(上帝) through mutual self-mediation, and the last fifth ‘Hwa’ was explained that the horizontal expansion from human limited horizon into the Sange-Je(上帝)’s divine horizon through the mutual self-mediation. And through the incantation of Chun-do-gyo, furthermore, the subject of mutual self-mediation expanded from Su-woon and Sange-Je(上帝) to everyone who spells incantation and the Sange-Je(上帝). |
