Description
Summary:Almost every diocese, male religious group, religious institution now has a child safe-guarding policy in place but has that really contributed to any lasting change? This paper highlights the author's ongoing musings and struggles with this social justice issue, and her continued understanding of the significant role that spiritual abuse plays in facilitating all other kinds of abuse. It also questions whether those most prone to be abusers are best placed to lead reforms or be the facilitators of justice. Finally, some theological practices that could offer some light in the midst of this great darkness will be highlighted.
