Description
Summary:This article uses feminist theory to examine the possibilities of how patriarchal religious constructs (prcs) can contribute to psychic damage for some marginalized/oppressed populations. Feminist theory offers a context to help counselors navigate these areas of potential injuries and help move the client to an empowered spirituality. The authors describe a feminist theory framework and provide a case study to assist counselors in the therapeutic process when encountering clients who may have experienced prc-related injuries.
