Summary: | This article deals with the cooking pots that have been found in the Iron Age levels at the site of Kāmid el-Lōz. The study examines the typology of cooking pots and it sheds light on the development of the cooking pot tradition in the eight Iron Age levels at the site of Kāmid el-Lōz. Furthermore, the study reviewes the dating of the Building Periods that was highlighted by R. Hachmann's excavations. The study presents parallels from different sites in the southern Levant and illustrates technological and morphological similarities of the cooking pots in the region of the southern Levant during the Iron Age. Finally, the study showes that the cooking pots of Kāmid el-Lōz are dated to the Iron Age I and II periods. |
