Description
Summary:Just as there are no regional sciences, there are no regional philosophies, only regional ways of doing science or philosophy. There are, however, special times and places where certain philosophical or scientific insights began or found their first expression in the corresponding spoken or written languages. Nevertheless, every content and truth can be translated into all languages, sometimes with the help of borrowed words. Consequently, philosophy must be distinguished from arbitrary worldviews, and Herder's idea that different languages convey different worldviews must be abandoned.
