Summary: | This article examines recent literature on the philosophy of digitization. It addresses five philosophical areas that have recently become the focus of digitality research: (i) anthropology, (ii) ontology, (iii) epistemology, (iv) ethics and (v) aesthetics. These areas are discussed with reference to the following technological phenomena: digital objects, virtual worlds, and digital games. The article analyzes these phenomena by reference to the modalities of reality, simulation, and virtuality. Finally, the article argues that we are entitled to speak of a "digital turn" in philosophy both with regard to its content and its form.Rafael Capurro, Homo Digitalis.
