| Summary: | Pas plus que l'opposition entre mythos et logos, celle entre idéologie et mythe (comme mutuellement exclusifs) ne résiste à l'analyse. Les mythes modernes ont pour caractéristique d'être sociogoniques et non cosmogoniques. La discontinuité temporelle qu'ils évoquent renvoie cependant à la fondation d'un ordre. Différents du récit archétypal, ils s'énoncent en des supports comme le cinéma, la science-fiction, la publicité. Tout en relevant d'un métalangage symptomatique du social, ils sont chargés d'imaginaire et d'affect, et mettent en valeur des héros collectifs ou individuels. Neither the opposition between mythos and logos, nor the opposition between ideology and myth (as reciprocally exclusive) sustain analysis. Modern myths have as a characteristic to present the genesis of society and not of cosmos. Nevertheless, the temporal discontinuity they refer to corresponds to the founding of an order. Different from the archetypal relation, they are expressed through media such as cinema, science-fiction, advertising. Although related to symptomatic social metalanguage, they are loaded with imaginary and affect, and show collective or individual heroes. |
