Description
Summary:The blame appended to anthropocentric leanings of traditional Christian thought for our ecological woes challenged me to do a reality check of our context and religious education’s offering for an ailing world. I begin by looking at our ecological crises in the Philippines and searching for glimmers of hope from young Filipino environmental attitudes, ecological initiatives of NGOs, and government and academic engagements of Filipino religious educators. I draw inspiration from the growing sentiments and collective anxiety of people relative to our environmental issues. What earth care initiatives can religious education promote in response to the universal call for climate justice?
