Description
Résumé:With the help of a semiotic interpretation of the Sartrean theory of subjectivity in "Being and Nothingness" a theory of "desire" is developed which is used to make an interpretation of the social psychological changes connected with the rationalization od society. It is maintained that the rationalized "system" in modern society can be harmonized with two different relationships to desire; a disciplinarian desire-formation which is interpreted with some help from Nietzsche and Foucault and a consumerist desire-formation which is interpreted with help from Colin Campbell and Simmel among others.
