| Summary: | ResumenCientistas sociais da religião têm apontado a ausência de referências religiosas não-cristãs que façam relações a expressões de gênero dissidentes (não normativas, fora do eixo heterossexual). Com esta lacuna em mente, este texto tentará trazer luz ao debate dentro da tradição budista, delineando uma breve jornada sobre a atitude desta tradição diante dos corpos e sexualidade desviantes. No primeiro momento, analisaremos de que forma a doutrina deu ou não suporte a expressão da diversidade de corpos e relações sexuais no início do Budismo primitivo. Em seguida, apresentaremos um pequeno retrato ao descrever algumas comunidades religiosas LGBTQI+ quese formaram dentro desta religião. Social scientists of religion have pointed out the absence of non-Christian religious references that make relations to dissident gender expressions (non-normative, outside the heterosexual axis). With this gap in mind, this text will try to bring light to the debate within the Buddhist tradition by outlining a brief journey on the attitude of this tradition toward deviant bodies and sexuality. In the first moment, we will analyze how the doctrine did or did not support the expression of the diversity of bodies and sexual relations in early Buddhism. We will then present a short portrait by describing some LGBTQI + religious communities which formed within this religion. |
