Description
Summary:Andrzej Jastrzebski’s book, Integrating Spirituality into Counseling: Methods and Practices is analyzed to provide readers an orientation to the theoretical and practical issues surrounding client spirituality and its impact on clinical interventions. Spirituality in practice is as varied as clients and can be sourced in both religious and nonreligious experience. Clinical mental health providers, as the largest contributor to integrated client counseling, must maintain openness and awareness of this to foster holistic development among clients. Through individual exploration, spiritual disciplines, and associations with spiritual directors, clients benefit from an integrated model accounting for this significant part of the human experience.
